HOLIDAY HOUSE BAZAAR—An invitation from the United Methodist Women

It’s that time of the year again—for shopping, eating, visiting, and just enjoying this special gathering with one another.  it is always a good time for town folks to come to First UMC.  There are usually many hello’s and hugs.

The beautiful handmade crafts in the Christmas Boutique and the Country Store are perfect for gift-giving items.  The food, jams and jellies, baked goods, and gift baskets are always very popular in The Pantry.  Then, for the readers there is the Book Nook with LOTS of choices of paperbacks and hardbacks—for a reasonable price.  And, just across from the Book Nook is the Victorian Team Room for a quiet respite. (Yes, men are seen enjoying it also!)

A large group of folks are usually lined up early on Friday for lunch featuring Patton’s famous soup, homemade pies, salads, and sandwiches.  There, again, you will see downtown friends enjoying the food and fellowship.

WHY DO WE HAVE A BAZAAR?  HOW ARE THE PROFITS OF THE BAZAAR SPENT EACH YEAR?.

The United Methodist Women (with the help from everyone) raise the money for our Pledge to Missions.  The Mission Projects include local, national, and worldwide ministries to assist in meeting human needs, with special emphasis on women, children, and youth.  We continue to be aware of current situations if the need arises.
